They look for responsible, ethical thinker, self driven person, leadership qualities, outspoken and truthful person while interviewing someone for Grade A and Grade B services and for Grade C ,there is no interview required. For Interview details likes hobbies ( serious one), Educational qualifications, work experience , service location ( depends on person) ,service allotment ( personal choice) etc are filled in DAF. They ask similar questions from DAF to make candidates relax . Sometimes they check the presence of mind and common sense of the candidate.

Serious and sincere candidates are selected for the services and then they are sent to certain institutions for foundation courses where they are again taught law , geography, history , new languages etc. By end of foundation courses they have already  become a different improvised versions of themselves which is needed for development, growth and prosperous nation.
